Steam03 was a host website that was dedicated to providing information and official and unofficial
downloads to a Steam 2003 client recreation, created by NC-HardcorE. The website provided guides
assisting users on how to use the client.
Post-deletion
On August 8th, 2023, the website was deleted in the middle of me editing it. I'm still pretty confused on
what actually happened; whether a user-report lead to it being deleted, or if Neocities staff caught wind
of the site themselves. Regardless, i never recieved any sort of e-mail about the takedown, nor did i get
a response back from Neocities when i contacted them.
The next day, out of relative frustration from the lack of reasoning behind the takedown, i created a re-
host of the website under the name Steam04. Within the hour, it was deleted again. It officially put an
end to the Steam03 project, however all the downloads hosted on the website still worked (atleast at
the time).
