Brief Overview:
RAR-001 was the first anomaly discovered on ROBLOX, and could occur when the player entered the "kill-zone" of the void, if activated it would go through a 5-stage process, starting with not being killed in the killzone, and ending with the client being corrupted. RAR-001 was patched out of roblox and ultimately removed in early 2008, and can still be activated with pre-2008 clients, but has been patched out of most re-releases of the client, such as in the case of Novetus or ORRH.
Description:
RAR-001, also known as "The Great Unknown" informerly, is an anomaly that affects only the ROBLOX client, and was patched out completely from the client in 2008, with old ROBLOX client launchers such as Novetus and ORRH patching out the bug aswell. RAR-001's properties can be activated when a player jumps into the "kill-zone void" of the game; where the player will reset and respawn after they have reached the "kill-zone". However, when RAR-001 is activated by this act, the player will fall (presumably) indefiniently into the void, never reaching the kill-zone. Approximately 30 seconds after bypassing the kill zone, the player will be disconnected from the server, but with no error message. After about 15 seconds of this occuring, the entire map of the game is removed, with the skybox becoming a pitch black abyss.

post-server disconnection
After a while, raw audio data of the Roblox.exe file will begin playing, and will remain going until the entire file has been announced. This has been the most documented phase of RAR-001, and is usually where most affected by RAR-001 will close the client forcefully. The next known phase of RAR-001 is approximately 5 minutes after the raw audio data completes, where the client begins to experience a memory overflow, and if not closed manually, will corrupt the client by unknown means. There are no known phases after the client being corrupted, but the only way to repair the client is a fresh reinstall of ROBLOX.

RAR-001 is also the first discovered anomaly on ROBLOX, first being mentioned in Feburary 2007 by user [✱✱✱✱✱✱✱], although this forum post can no longer be found as it was deleted sometime in 2008. The transcript of the forum post as follows:
"hi guys. has anytone else been having that weird issue when u jump down into the void (to respawn or when you fall of randomly) and had some artifacting appear on the screen? oris it just me because this bug is really creepy espically at night."

It was viewed atleast 500 times in its lifetime, with a former developer on the post stating:
"We're working on a fix for this bug, but with a lack of results from our testing team we can't get any logs. Hoping to fix this by atleast early March."
